Overweight and obesity are most often associated with the intake of carbohydrates and fats. However, rapid weight gain frequently concurs with an increased sugar intake.
Sugar is present in almost every food and drink we consume on a daily basis. For instance, bananas, honey, pure fruit juice and mangos are only some of the foods that contain sugar. Hence, not only does it promote weight gain, but it can also be responsible for many ailments. Sugar overdose can cause fatigue, yeast infections, depression, hyperactivity, colds, sleepiness, diabetes and heart disease, to name a few.
The body uses the sugar, part of it for the energy we need, and the remaining part is stored as fat. Therefore, the more sugar we consume, the more fat is stored on the waist, hips and thighs.
Sugar consumption can be considered as an addiction, because as soon as you start quitting it, you’ll feel classic symptoms of addiction. You may experience headaches, fatigue, cravings and sadness. You should start cutting out one sugar product at a time until excluding it completely from your diet. Thus, we present you a three-day sugar detox plan.
